Come on out and try out The fantastic sport of Curling for the first time. (or the first time in a while). We have a great group of volunteers ready to help you step out onto the sheet for the first time! Open to all ages. Please bring: Clean running shoes (that you didn't wear outside into the club!) Anyone under 19 is required to wear protective head gear on our sheet. (hockey, skateboard, snowboard helmet. No bike helmets please) We recommend you wear layered athletic clothing that you can easily move and stretch in.

We meet on Mondays from 3:15-4:30pm, approximately every two weeks for six weeks (a Teacher from Chemong school will walk students over to the library for 3:15pm). Children choose books from the Silver Birch Express Reading list and need to read at least 5/10 of the titles to vote for their favourite author at the end of the program. At the program we talk about the books, complete book related activities, listen to speakers and sign out books to read at home. Children's Stage Lakefield 2018/2019 Season

Peterborough Academy for Circus Arts (October 28th, 2018) Be entertained and amazed with a thrilling variety of Circus Arts including: aerial silks, cyrwheel, hula hoop and glow poi. This show also includes a workshop where audience members have the opportunity to try out hula hoop dance and poi spinning to get a personal experience with the circus arts! Beany John Hoop Dance & the Lakefield College School Dancers (February 3rd, 2019) Beany John shares the traditional art of Hoop Dancing blended with contemporary music. She is both a teacher of hoop dance and an innovative performer, whose contemporary style incorporates elements of hip hop. Beany will be accompanied by the Lakefield College School Dancers to help facilitate the workshop. To Be Determined Theatre Company (April 14th, 2019) Our final show of the season brings to life, the Robert Munsch classic The Paper Bag Princess - The Musical! Action packed and filled with live music, singing, and adventure around every corner, this fun adaptation is a perfect fit for all ages!

Children's Stage Lakefield 2018/2019 Season

Peterborough Academy for Circus Arts (October 28th, 2018) Be entertained and amazed with a thrilling variety of Circus Arts including: aerial silks, cyrwheel, hula hoop and glow poi. This show also includes a workshop where audience members have the opportunity to try out hula hoop dance and poi spinning to get a personal experience with the circus arts! Beany John Hoop Dance & the Lakefield College School Dancers (February 3rd, 2019) Beany John shares the traditional art of Hoop Dancing blended with contemporary music. She is both a teacher of hoop dance and an innovative performer, whose contemporary style incorporates elements of hip hop. Beany will be accompanied by the Lakefield College School Dancers to help facilitate the workshop. To Be Determined Theatre Company (April 14th, 2019) Our final show of the season brings to life, the Robert Munsch classic The Paper Bag Princess - The Musical! Action packed and filled with live music, singing, and adventure around every corner, this fun adaptation is a perfect fit for all ages!

We meet on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30pm, every two weeks for six weeks (a Teacher from Chemong school will walk students over to the library for 3:15pm). Children choose books from the Silver Birch reading lists and need to read at least 5/10 of the titles in one category to be able to vote for their favourite author at the end of the program. At the program we talk about the books, complete book related activities, listen to speakers and sign out books to read at home.
